After checking out the trees and Cement Works, yas and I headed up to Tawharanui Regional Park ("wh" is pronounced like "ph" for those who care about such things). Beautiful! We walked on the beach, out over the rocks (the tide was going out so we could get pretty far) and up through the surrounding hills. This is also a bird sanctuary so we saw some cool birds as well.
